Tractor mounted silage harvester is a kind of common used harvesting machine for straw, grass and other silage. For customers who own a tractor, it is a better option because of low cost. The machine can be easily attached to and detached from the tractor, making it convenient for multi-purpose use.
🌾 Step 1: Determine the Silage Type and Height
It needs to confirm what silage to be harvest and what is the height. This silage harvester is suitable for silage with a height of less than 3 meters. This customer harvests corn silage and some of the corn is lodging, so we recommended the harvester with a reel.
🐄 Step 2: Confirm the Crushed Size Requirement
Confirm the size of crushed silage needed or what animal to feed. This silage harvester can crush the silage to 5-8cm in length, which is suitable for cattle. For sheep, it needs to equip a secondary crushing device to ensure the size stays 1-3cm.
⚙️ Step 3: Tractor Horsepower and Configuration
The horsepower of the tractor determines the harvesting width and whether support wheels are needed. If the tractor is less than 80hp, it is recommended to choose a 1.2m or 1.5m working width with support wheels.
